Forever young bbl

BroadBand Light (BBL) technology utilizes the power of light energy to stimulate your own cells to rejuvenate, make new collagen, and eliminate redness and pigment caused by the sun.

BBL is more comfortable and achieves better results than other pulsed light devices (IPL’s) on the market. Dr. Barry’s experience and knowledge of light based technology is what makes this treatment extra special, with the ability to treat multiple skin conditions in just 1-3 sessions, she can create smoother, vibrant, and more youthful looking skin.

BBL successfully treats:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Sun spots

  • Freckles

  • Hyperpigmentation

  • Small facial veins or broken capillaries

  • Rosacea

  • Acne

Treatment

Your treatment will be tailored to match your skin’s condition and your desired results. After assessing your skin using a special camera, Dr. Baarry will perform the treatment in 30-60 minute session. The treatment produces some slight discomfort but is very tolerable. At the end your skin will feel sunburned and have some areas of redness, possible slight swelling, and darkening of any pigmented spots. An ice pack is given and these discomforts subside within 1-2 hours. Makeup can be applied immediately after the treatment if desired and typically there is no downtime unless the skin has a lot of abnormalities that need addressed.

Any area of your body can be treated. The most common areas are those most exposed to the damaging effects of sun light such as the face, neck, chest, shoulders, and back of the hands.

Forever Young BBL takes this amazing treatment to a new level! By exposing the skin to even more light with regular intervals (usually 3-4 times per year), the treatment has been show to actually change the DNA expression in the skin and cause it to act like younger, healthier skin!

Performed at Stanford University, the original study was published in the prestigious Journal of Investigative Dermatology in 2012. It demonstrated the scientific effects of BBL on aging skin cells, showing dramatic changes to the aging process at both the molecular level and at the visible surface. The study’s findings were also published in The Wall Street Journal’s article, “Stanford University Study Finds Evidence that BroadBand Light Treatment Promotes Youthful Skin on a Molecular Level.”

The science shows, not only does the BBL effectively revert the genomes that affect the aging process in our DNA, but also shows that the affected cells transcribe, or reproduce, the same younger information to new cells! Such a simple and easy solution to slow the aging process down!
